New Brockton High School Monthly Newsletter

January 2019

Welcome Back!

FROM THE PRINCIPAL,

Welcome back teachers and students!  We are already halfway through our school year, and it seems like we’ve only just begun.  I am excited about all of the great things happening here at New Brockton High School, and I would like to begin sharing them with our parents, students, and community stakeholders.  I believe we have a fantastic, growing school that is going to continue to get better and better as we work together to prepare our students for success during school and after.

GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT NBHS!

New Brockton High School faculty, staff, students, and administration are excited with the improvement to being a 81 B school on the annual report card.  New Brockton High School made positive improvements in the Indicators of Academic Achievement, Graduation Rate, and College & Career Readiness. We want to thank the teachers and students for their hard work, time, and dedication to the success of New Brockton High School.

Happy New Year!   I hope everyone had a great Christmas break and is ready for a new school semester!   We will have so much going on this semester with school and athletic activities. Keep focused and strive for your best!

This semester there will be focus on attendance here at NBHS.   We have a large number of students that are chronically absent, and we will be focusing on getting these students back on track.  There will be Saturday school throughout the semester also to help with attendance issues and to also allow for students who are behind to have time to make up work that has been missed.  We are striving for success and hard work will lead to this success!
