Thank you all for a wonderful homecoming.  We appreciate all the hard work and involvement from our teachers and students. We would like to announce our skit winners and banner winners.  For the skits, 3rd place was a tie between Onyx 7-9 and Garnet 10-12. For 2nd place there was a tie between Ivory 7-9, Garnet 7-9, and Onyx 10-12.  1st place was Sterling 10-12. Our overall Junior High Winner was Sterling 7-9 with the video game skit, and our overall High School winner was the Senior Class with their 1980’s Movie Montage Hall of Fame.  For the banners, there was a tie for 3rd place between Sterling 7-9 and Sterling 10-12. 2nd place was Ivory 7-9. 1st Place was Garnet 7-9, and the overall winner was Onyx 7-9.



Faculty, Staff and Friends of New Brockton High School would like to wish CAITLYN NOLIN the best of luck at the NATIONAL PEANUT PAGEANT this coming Friday and Saturday as she represents the town of New Brockton.



Exam Exemption Forms go home today. Students, the forms must be signed by your parents and returned to your first period teacher by Wednesday. Teachers, if you need extra forms, they are in the front office. Please only get the exact number you need for your 1st period.  

 

Wednesday: all students are required to take their Science exam during class.

Thursday schedule: exams during 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th periods.

Friday schedule: exams during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods.

 

Students, you may not check out until the class period ends.

 

The last day of the 1st 9 weeks is this Friday, October 5th. Make sure you get all of your makeup work submitted by Friday!

 

The sign up for the luncheon on Friday, October 1st is in the office.  

 

Students who ride Mr. Comer’s bus, 14-61, will be in the first wave of buses to go through.  Make sure you are out there to get on his bus right after the bell rings.

 

Students who ride Mr. Mullinaxes bus, 13-56, will be in the 2nd wave of buses to go through.

 

Seniors are invited to attend a campus tour of Troy University on Thursday, October 11th. Permission slips will be given out today. There is a $12 fee due to Mrs. Bourne, and this includes your lunch. We will return to campus at approximately 1:00 pm, and students will be allowed to check out with parent permission.

 

The FAFSA opens today! Seniors, you may complete your FAFSA online today, or you can wait for the workshop that Mrs. Bourne and Mrs. McPhaul will be hosting during College Application Week. See Mrs. Bourne or Mrs. McPhaul for more details.




Junior high boys basketball tryouts will be Tuesday October 2nd and Wednesday October 3rd from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Anyone trying out must have a current physical.




SOFTBALL TRYOUTS are October 2, 3 and 4th.  See Coach Graham for a physical form.  You must have a current physical to try out.  Questions or concerns please see Coach Ward.

 

BASEBALL TRYOUTS are October 27th. See Coach Hulsey for a physical form.  You must have a current physical to try out! Please sign up outside of Coach Hulseys room.  You must sign up! Information Meeting to follow!
