I am a highly qualified English Language Arts teacher with Coffee County Schools and have been teaching since 2010. I serve in many roles which include: English department chairperson, National English Honor's Society sponsor, Senior Class sponsor, and REACH advisory implementation team member. I have taught English Language Arts in grades 7-12.

I am from New Brockton, AL and am happy to be teaching at "home". After graduating from NBHS in 2006, I began college at Troy University and was a member of the Sound of the South Marching Band majorette line and Sigma Tau Delta English Honor's Society. I graduated from Troy University in December of 2009 with a Bachelor's in English. I have a six-year-old son named Clayton who keeps me very busy and very happy. This past summer, I gained my Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership. I truly believe that through reading, writing, and constant participation in language, a student will increase their chances for success. I enjoy teaching very much and am convinced it is a calling God has put on my life. This job is not easy but it's worth it. Teaching has presented me with constant challenges which I invite and enjoy conquering. I hope to foster the same type of grit in my students. When I'm not working, I am spending time with my family and playing with my son. My husband and I enjoy traveling and have a long list of places and adventures we are eager to mark off of it. However, no matter where our travels take us, New Brockton will always be home base for us. Gamecock Pride!
