I graduated in 1980 something from Charles Henderson High School in Troy.  I attended Troy State University in Troy.  I recieved a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1987 and a Masters Degree in Special Education in 1990.







I began my teaching profession in Bullock County at a small private school called Bullock Memorial.  I taught 5th and 6th grade for a total of 2 years.  I have been at New Brockton High School for 28 years and am working on my 29th now... I have taught Special Education the entire time. I worked with the Gamecock Pride Marching band's majorette line and dance line for many years.  I am beginning my 11th year with the extended day program at the elementary school working with the kindergarten and other classes and as the director of the program.  I also teach the CHICKS With STICKS( twirl girls) at the elementary school. I coordinate and direct our Campus Beauty Pageants and the New Brockton Pageants for our town... I enjoy my job... and love all my students like they are my own...


My name is Angi Oakes and I am originally from Troy, AL.  I have 3 children:  Emilee, Mary-Michael, and Tanner.  Emilee is a Troy University Graduate and is a full time MOM , Mary-Michael lives in Luverne and works in Montgomery as a dental hygienist, and Tanner is a beginning his sophomore year in college. I have 3 precious grand boys..They are Gigi's world. Bradunn who is in 1st grade at PLA in Troy, John Michael is in Kindergarten at Highland Home and the baby of the bunch Brody Ray in daycare at PMC in Troy.  We live in Enterprise AL.
