When I was young, my dad came home from work one day and told us we would be moving from Michigan to Alabama. I was hesitant about such a big move, but I quickly fell in love with living in the South. After high school, I attended The University of Alabama, where I was a member of The Million Dollar Band. Being a member of this organization gave me many opportunities to travel and to meet people from all over the state; one of these opportunities led me to Enterprise.

I moved to Enteprise right after college graduation, and I began teaching at Enterprise Junior High and eventually Enterprise High School. During this time, I received my master's degree in curriculum studies, and my teaching was drastically changed to focus on the individual needs of the student with regards to learning styles and multiple intelligences. As my time as a teacher progressed, I noticed that we had a population of students that was increasing drastically, without enough teachers to service their unique needs. I then went back to school at UAB and received a master's degree in teaching students who have English as a second language.

I began working at New Brockton High School in August of 2018, and I am so excited about being a part of this amazing school. The students and faculty are one-of-a-kind, and I am blessed to be a part of the Gamecock family.

I am currently a student at The University of West Alabama, where I am pursuing my degree in Instructional Leadership. I believe in the power of continuing education, and I hope to inspire my students to be life-long learners.
