Bio

Hello! My name is Regina Brown. I am a 1999 graduate of New Brockton High School. I practiced real estate from 2004-2016 but was always interested in Science. I decided that I wanted to study Biology in 2011. I attended Wallace Community College from 2011-2013 and obtained my Associate of Science. From there I transferred to Troy University. I attended Troy University from 2013-2015 and obtained my Bachelors of Biology in 2015. I decided I wanted to teach so I returned to obtain my teaching certification in 2017. I intend to return to Troy University to obtain my Masters in Biology Education. I am beginning my 5th year of my teaching career at New Brockton High. My previous teaching experience was obtained at Northview High 2016-2019 and New Brockton High School 2019-2020. I love teaching at a smaller school. What better place to teach than your alma mater? I am very excited to be given the opportunity to teach here at New Brockton High. I love to be in a lab doing hands on experiments with my students. Education is a door to the life you want to create for yourself and I intend on cultivating that in my students! My spare time is spent with my family, pets, grading papers, and doing lesson plans. I am married to my wonderful husband (Wayne) and I have 1 son (Bailey). I love animals which is expected for a Biologist. I have 2 Labrador Retrievers, 2 horses, and 1 marmoset monkey.  I am very excited about this new school year of teaching science and the new memories that will be made at New Brockton High. I look forward to a great 2020-2021 school year! Go Gamecocks!!
