Biography
I am a New Brockton native. I am entering my 4th year of teaching. I am married to my husband, Chase, and we have one daughter, Alivia. Teaching children is my passion and I'm truly grateful to be in a career that I love! Outside of work, I love taking cruises, spending time at the beach, and taking trips!
While in high school, I was a part of the softball, volleyball, and basketball teams, as well as a JV and Varsity cheerleader. After graduating in 2005, I traveled and lived in Anchorage, Alaska, and Washington state. I moved back to New Brockton in 2012 and worked for the Department of Defense on Fort Rucker (Ft. Novosel). I obtained my Bachelors and Master's in Special Education from Troy University. I have worked at the elementary and high school level. While teaching at Goshen High School, I held the assistant volleyball and softball coach positions. I have been involved in numerous sports groups throughout childhood and my adult life. I married my husband Chase nine years ago, and we have a daughter, Alivia, who is in the Fourth grade at New Brockton Elementary School.
I love being involved with the community and pushing young people to be their best selves. I am honored to serve as the Head Volleyball Coach for the Lady Gamecocks. I have so much pride for being a Gamecock and putting back into the program that helped mold me into the person that I have become. I am so thankful for the support from the school and community! In the words of the late Thomas H. Moates, “Isn’t it great to be a New Brockton Gamecock?”
